Blackpool Air Show returns this August, showcasing the very best in British aviation with a whole host of amazing flying machines and some of the most skilled pilots. Highlights include The RAF Typhoon, the historic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and The Red Devils paratroopers. This annual spectacle is free to watch and there’s no better spot than the beach and promenade. The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival Colne 28th – 30th August Head down to Colne this August bank holiday weekend for three days of incredible live music as the award-winning festival returns for its 35th show! Showcasing the very best of blues music in the UK right now, as well as the most exciting emerging talent both locally and around the UK. Their ‘official fringe’ provides even more live music to enjoy, making it one on the UK’s best value festivals. #AmazingAccrington Soapbox Challenge Accrington 29th August Back with a bang, the #AmazingAccrington soapbox challenge will have a special movie theme this year, plus new entertainment during the race including live music, and bumper style car rides for the kids to enjoy. This is all in addition to the usual entertainment, pit area and family fun that the event hosts each August.
