TAKE A FERRY ACROSS THE WYRE While it's not quite the Mersey and you can’t sing the song, the ferry across the Wyre River is a must for visitors to Fleetwood and

STEP BACK IN TIME IN RAWTENSTALL Did you know there’s a town in Rossendale where you can grab a drink or a bite to eat in the last remaining temperance bar in the UK, explore curiosities from the past and even travel on a steam train like it's the 1830s? Rawtenstall is a must visit for those looking for unique and wonderful things to do, with Mr Fitzpatrick's distinctive temperance bar offering delicious and quirky traditional cordials, The Whitaker Art Gallery and Museum delivering incredible exhibitions alongside its curiosity room, and excellent cafe. Then wander down to Rawtenstall station for a trip on The East Lancashire Railway, travelling between Bury and Rawtenstall, through the beautiful Irwell Valley on steam trains. Knott End. Spending the day in this corner of Lancashire is not to be missed in the summer, with beaches, walks, shopping and food a plenty, not to mention a trip over the river on the ferry! The area was often visited by LS Lowry in his time, with Knott End featuring in many of his artworks. These days there is a special tribute to the famous artist near the Knott End Ferry slipway, perfect for an insta-worthy snap. Fleetwood is home to some great events like its Tram Sunday in July, this year the event will be combined with the Fleetwood Scarecrow Festival which has the theme of Heros and Villains from Film and TV. A little further south you will find Cleveleys seafront too, with its Mythic Coast Trail, brilliant cafes and of course the film location for Niamos from Andor! We can’t help but wonder if we’ll see a Diego Luna at that Scarecrow festival!
