LYTHAM ST ANNES A traditional Victorian resort offering peace and tranquillity, Lytham St Annes is Blackpool’s quieter neighbour. Technically two separate towns, with Andsell and Fairhaven sandwiched in between, Lytham St Annes offers a mix of sandy beach and epic sand dunes. Closer to Blackpool, St Annes is home to an incredible annual kite festival and the traditional pier, whereas Lytham just a few miles down the road is more of an estuary spot with an impressive windmill and lovely green spaces. Together they provide everything we love about the seaside - a traditional pier with arcade games, beach huts, parks and play areas, sandcastle building and water sports opportunities, as well as fantastic places to eat, drink and shop. Don’t Miss: If you want the chance to enjoy a real taste of Lytham, then don’t miss Sandgrown Spirits Gin Workshops. Using ingredients foraged from the Ribble Estuary itself, you can make your very own gin to take home and remember your visit to the area for months to come. A must visit for kids is the Splash Park at St Annes. This outdoor experience is great if you're on a budget as is a stroll around the promenade gardens. Find lots more to see and do at Fairhaven Lake - hire a boat, play crazy golf, then top off your visit with a walk around the Japanese Gardens.
