Bowland Social, Clitheroe Opened April 2026

Stepping stones at Martin Mere, Burscough Expected summer 2026

While Bowland Social has been open a couple of months, it's not one we’re going to stop talking about for a while. A vibrant social playground inside Holmes Mill in the middle of Clitheroe, you will find duck pin bowling, interactive darts, shuffleboard, laser clays, pool and mini golf, alongside great food and drink and a lively atmosphere for all to enjoy. It’s the place to be in Clitheroe this summer! Whilst you’re there why not make a day of it and check out the Bowland Food Hall and Bowland Beer Hall.

Theres something new at Martin Mere and the kids are going to be hopping to enjoy it! This summer, the award-winning attraction is opening what is thought to be Europe’s longest stretch of stepping stones! Spanning an impressive 67 metres across the water within a brand new self-guided bug hunting area! The work is currently underway, but it is hoped that the stones will be ready to hop, skip and jump over during the summer holidays.
