Singing Ringing Tree Burnley – Crown Point Designed by Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu of Tonkin Liu, The Singing Ringing Tree is one of Lancashire’s most popular attractions. Constructed from pipes of galvanized steel, this musical sculpture was launched in December 2006. Unlike the other panopticons, this sculpture was created specifically using different length pipes and slits. Due to the moorside location and the Lancashire wind against these pipes, you will find that the sculpture actually makes a sound, hence the name. What can you see – A new feature titled “What you can see from the Singing Ringing Tree has recently been installed at the site. This beautifully illustrated guide showcases the landmarks visible, and helps you appreciate the outstanding views even more. Look North of the sculpture to spot the superb view of Pendle hill. Look straight ahead for the panoramic view of Burnley, where you can even spot the famous Turf Moor in the Centre. Visit on clear day to see Bowland Fells, Pendle, Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Great Whernside.
