FILM LOCATIONS YOU CAN VISIT In addition to the Carnforth Heritage Centre and Bistro, there are several places that have appeared on screen which you can visit in real life. Hoghton Tower has appeared on screen many times over the years with some of its most noticeable appearances being in Russell T Davies’ Cassanova featuring David Tennant, Life on Mars and Peaky Blinders. You can visit Hoghton Tower and drive up its famous driveway before enjoying a tour of the building or afternoon tea. Another famous on-screen building from Lancashire is the Ashton Memorial, again having been spotted in an episode of Peaky Blinders. During the final series which aired in 2022, eagle eyed fans can spot the interior of the stunning monument as it stands in for the Gray’s Mansion. Visitors can look inside the building, and you can even book this impressive space for weddings. Again, in Lancaster, Dalton Square and the Town Hall were used during scenes in Sky’s 2024 series Robin and the Hood, and, of course, nearby Morecambe has been used as the main setting for the ITV drama The Bay for the last six years. There is a Bay Trail map available which outlines some key spots to visit throughout the seaside resort. Other places to visit include Queen Street Mill where Colin Firth appeared in The Kings Speech, Cleveleys beachfront for Andor with Diego Luna, and East Lancashire Railway where a little famous bear called Paddington enjoyed a ride in Paddington 2.
