A FOWL STATUE This year saw a brand- new statue unveiled at the Animate Entertainment Centre in Preston. Feathers McGraw now stands proudly near the 2021 statue of Wallace and Gromit, with Wallace in the “Wrong Trousers” it looks like the villain of the movie is operating them to make two fabulous art works come together. The statue was unveiled by Preston born creator of the series Nick Park in February and follows the latest instalment in the Wallace and Gromit series; Vengeance Most Fowl which was aired on Christmas Day 2024. With a long history of writing connections to Lancashire and his home town into the movies and series’ Nick Park has never forgotten his roots. The latest movie looks to have taken inspiration from some of the local landmarks in Lancashire and beyond with a museum which looks like The Harris, and a canal boat called the Accrington Queen appearing on screen.
