Step 2. Eat out and save the washing up for someone else
Whether you are visiting the area or entertaining friends, you don't have to cook everything from scratch, and in fact you don't have to cook anything at all. If cooking stresses you out, let the professionals take over. So many of Lancashire's food and drink establishments are offering great festive menus this Christmas, both in the run up to the big day, and on the day itself. There's no harm in gathering around a table in a restaurant amongst others to celebrate the season, but if you really want to keep things private, many of the restaurants in the area can provide private dining
options, events spaces for larger groups and some even offer outside catering so they'd come to your home or holiday accommodation to prepare a meal for you! While some restaurants and pubs will be asking for bookings in advance, there are usually establishments out there providing great quality food for walk ins too, so if you do plan on entertaining everyone at your place… there will be pubs or restaurants on hand should everything not go to plan!
